Welcome to “Bavarian Tuscany”, otherwise known as the “Rottal”. Located in one of the sunniest regions of the country, Bad Birnbach is famous as the place “where the south begins”. The idyllic Rottal hills offer everything your body and mind need: Nature to breathe in and vast landscapes for hiking, walking, cycling and golfing.

Golf

The Rottal is a paradise for golfers. The “Bella Vista Golf Park” is only 600 m away from the hotel and, as a guest of the MY MAYR MED Resort, you will receive a green fee reduction there. Even a whole week is not enough to play all the courses.

Within a radius of 20 km you will find another seven 18-hole championship courses, including three designed by the famous golf champion Bernhard Langer, as well as three 9-hole courses. There is something here for every level.

Rottal Terme

The popular „Rottal Terme“ is only a few steps away from the resort. The springs are among the hottest thermal mineral springs in Central Europe. There are 30 different pools and 13 saunas and steam baths to relax in. The “Rottal Terme” is also home to the longest thermal stream in Europe. When booking a stay at the MY MAYR health resort, admission to the therapy pool and the Vitarium thermal world is included twice a week

Hiking and cycling

Cycling, hiking and enjoying the wonderful landscape. This is Bad Birnbach. Picturesque landscapes await you here, along with numerous shaded forests with numerous viewpoints.

With us, hikers and cyclists get their money’s worth. Around 80 kilometres of hiking trails and an extensive network of cycle paths are waiting to be discovered.

Excursion destinations

Passau, also known as “Bavaria’s Venice”, is about 40 km away from Bad Birnbach and always worth a visit. The beautiful baroque town of Schärding in neighbouring Upper Austria can be reached in about 30 minutes by car.
